Overview
SSUK was approached by Beverley High School to rejuvenate their existing timber sports hall floor.
Project Objectives
- Restore the Appearance: Transform the worn timber floor, refreshing its look and feel.
- Improve Surface Durability and Safety: Maintain the durable, and smooth surface ideal for sports activities.
Our Approach
SSUK offered a comprehensive floor sanding, sealing, and maintenance services as follows:
- Sanding Process: Using our advanced Bona sanding machines, we sanded the floor down to bare timber, ensuring the smoothest, safest finish possible. These state-of-the-art machines allow for precise, dust-minimized sanding, preparing the floor for sealant application.
- Sealant Application: We applied two coats of high-quality Sport Sealant, chosen specifically for durability and to enhance floor resilience.
- Line Markings: Following the sealant application, we reapplied court markings in vibrant colors, essential for visibility and compliance.
- Final Sealant Coat: To protect the new markings and provide added durability, a third coat of sealant was applied, offering a smooth and uniform finish across the entire floor

Our work rejuvenated the sports hall floor, restoring it to its former glory.
